I found a stock truck 5.0 in the local newspaper for $400. It had 18,000 mi on it- Got a great deal... Putting it in my 68 coupe with edelbrock air gap intake, trick flow cam, ported stock heads, etc. etc.

Keep your eye out in the local papers and internet sites... you'll find what you need... or go to http://www.summitracing.com and get a new 5.0 block (cheap) and do a stock replacement rebuild... will be reliable and not abused- you never know with used engines from people you don't know!
