Bassani headers. I have an 89 with 2.5 pipes and flowmasters too, and it sounds beast. Just get a cat-less H pipe and it will sound even better.

All kinds that work well..................Long tube or short...........

Mac...cheapest but good value.
BBK...higher but nice fit

Ford Motor Sports also makes some but I have not heard much about them.

You can surely find something with one of those two brands since they cover the gammit.

Other company's that carry headers are Heddman, Thrush, Blackjack but you don't hear much about them here??

I would just go with a set of BBK shorties.

Let me guess 88.......you have a pair?

I have Mac long tubes and course I love them too........I don't have to put oil in them, or air. When they rust, their supposed to. and they make my car sound bad ***!!

Just saying we all like our our own stuff when it works right............

BBK or MAC work well so I think he will do good with either.

word of warning: If you buy long tubes only the "brand of X or H pipe you bought will match up with the header you bought". If you buy shorties they will all fit..............

AND dont forget that if you get LT's you will have to get a shorter H pipe to compensate for the extra length of the headers.

IM running BBK LTs, O/R H pipe, and flowmaster catback and the car sounds bad ***. Since your getting a new H-pipe I would suggest long tubes. Mac and BBK are but good but with Macs you have to put the steering shaft through the pipes. Thats the reason I went with BBK. Our headers are Ceramic and they Still look brand new.

MAC LT's are definetly very difficult to install. Not even worth it IMO.

Are the BBK's alot easier than the MAC's?
