Buy a wix or similar brand from an autoparts store. I wouldn't buy crap from the dealer.

I just changed my fuel filter in my 88 GT Hatchback. Super simple just like everyone else said. Just jack the car up, the fuel filter is to the front side of the gas tank. Just lay underneath, very easy to see. Make sure you have a bucket handy because the fuel in the fuel filter will leak out and make sure you don't give yourself a gasoline shower. (not much gas will come out though, no worries). Just need a screwdriver and 15 minutes, counting jacking/unjacking the car. There should be 2 plastic clips on each side of the fuel filter, just pull those straight down to release the fuel lines from the filter, then use the new clips supplied with the new filter. (This might make more sense once you see the new filter) Very simple change.

Since we are on the subject of fuel filters and I dont need to start a new thread...

I was looking at the aeromotive fuel filters... what is the difference between them and the regular autozone fuel filter? Besides how good they look lol

Who cares about the looks, are you really gonna crawl under the car and keep it clean? In terms of a performance difference, no idea. I went with a $9 FRAM fuel filter and the car runs fine.

Easy job...We charge $99.99!! (Ford Dealership..)

Yes, way easy job. Just like the guys stated above. If you want to not lose as much gas, vent the tank first by taking the gas fill cap off (key off of course - make sure to take the keys out so you or someone else doesn't try to start it while you are working on it..heheh-jk) once the cap if off, you have successfully taken any residual air out of the tank which will cause you to lose gas if not done prior to service. After replacing the part, (make sure the clips are in tight) keyon 5 seconds and then off 5 seconds. Repeat this about 4 times. After doing so, the car can be started and should fire up immediately. Check for leaks, carry on with life and $70-80 more in your pocket Friend.

Good luck and post if you need more help,
Ivan

Aeromotive uses a glass impregnated media vice paper element found in your off the shelf filters. A better filter - yes.

And yes, they look way "Mo betta."
