4.10's, slicks, and full bolt ons, should give a stock lt1 on street tires a good run for it's money. I've driven a few of them and they aren't very fast.
me and my freinds were driving around last night in my car, a 94 LT1 6 speed formula, and a 2005 5 speed cobalt ss, and a nissan titan......... the formula and cobalt raced and me and the nissan chased after them and the cobalt only lost by less than a car after 110 mph to the formula..... they were dead even up to 110..... and i wasnt too far behind at all .... so i dont see why heads are needed ...... and the formula oly puts out 228 to the wheels i believe so with gears, full exhuast, good tune up, shift kit, cai, tb, trickflow manifold, and maf, and free mods i bet i could keep up or beat an LT1..... i mean the cobalt only ran a 14.1 when he raced it and he kept up right next to him dead even up to 110 so id say that the LT1 wouldnt do too much better than a 14 flat
