the mark 8 fan pulls alot more cfm than the taurus
+1

I researched this topic before getting my taurus fan and nothing came even close for the price. 2000cfm is more than enough for stock and most mods if not all. Ive had mine for a couple months in Texas heat and it works like a charm!

You can really gain 15-20hp by switching to an electric fan?????

Why don't more people do that then?

because you dont gain 15-20 hp from a electric fan. you will see maybe 5 hp, but the engine will rev easier and have better throttle response. i went to a electric fan so i could leave it on with the car off to cool it down between runs at the track. i have a mark 8 fan as well and this thing kicks butt, i would definetely recommend it over the taurus fan.

you dont actually gain any hp, it just frees it up, but it is enough to feel the difference
mabye 8-10hp.

This is the Proform fan, its exactly the same as the Black magic fan. It flows up to 2800 cfm's, pleanty enough. Made to fit the 5.0. Its $107 from Jegs. Part# 778-67015

I use this exact same fan and have had no problems, on the highway or sitting in traffic in 98 degree heat.
