If anyone can help,
-I would like to take off my valve covers (they're kinda shoddy looking) and sandblast/repaint them. Doing so would require removing the upper intake plenum, if I remove the plenum/valve covers, will I screw the gaskets up at all or will they still be good? Probably originals (60k miles).
-Can anyone recommend a really good shop manual? Something that's pretty detailed, I'd like to do as much myself as possible.
-The guy who owned the car before me just put brand new spark plug wires on, and they're pretty long. Is there a way I can cut them down to size?
Thanks

RE: 3 questions
1. buy new gaskets. the old ones will leak and you'll have to take em back off to replace em.
2. chiltons is good, haynes is ok. they both **** me off though
3. leave the plug wires alone until you need new ones, then get some cut to fit wires. you measure out how long you want em, cut em, crimp terminals on them. they look good.
