Default Rough ride

I have a 91 GT and i think my suspension is getting bad. Its got 100k and the car shakes a bit even on smooth roads. My steering wheel shakes a heck of a lot too and it gives me a headache to look at my rearview mirror cause it shakes so bad. Ive still got my sway bar, could that make the ride rough? or should i just buy better suspension? i want to lower my car a couple inches anyways.

your original shocks and struts are probably bad.

when mine finally crapped out it was bone charring and teeth rattleing

Depends on how much cash you have There are alot of good suspension companies out there. Are you just looking to replace the struts/shocks or are you looking to upgrade (control arms, a arms, yadda ydda yadda).

I have billsteins in my LX Notch, and Tokicos in my GT. Billsteins are far greater, but cost more too... The billsteins came on my car when I bought it for $2800. where I payed $400 for shock/strut/springs on my GT (the tokicos).

i would check with the cheap fast fixes first... such as u joints and motor/tranny mounts, wheel bearings, axlebearings, then move onto chasis components, if you have to swap springs/shocks i reccomend eibach, billstein are too expensive for the same performance.
