I pretty sure the only thing you have to swap is the flywheel. Everything else is the same.

this is what maximum motorsports says to do for the converson
We recommend against reinstalling the original size (10") clutch in these cars. The 1979 to 1985 V-8 Mustangs were equipped with 10" clutches from the factory. We recommend replacing the stock system with the upgraded McLeod 10.5" clutch/pressure plate system. Upgrading to the 10.5" clutch will require McLeod Flywheel part # 463100 or 563100, with the proper counterbalance, in place of the factory flywheel.
what would the proper counterbalance be?

Our engines arent internally balanced.
Just get a flywheel for your model year and it should already be attached to the backing of it.

Just call ahead when you place the order to make sure.

Its a 50 oz. counter balance. All late model 5.0's are that way. The earlier 302's are 28oz imbalance.

I don't think there is to many clutches you can get in 10 inch.
