Default gt40 engine??

Hello everyone. i am a proud new owner of a 94 mustang gt. just got it a few weeks ago and now have some money to play around with. i recently came across a gt40 302 engine for 700 bucks. just wondering what the differences in the gt40 and my 5 liter besides the heads . would it be better to just get the heads? i am not sure about pricing and any opinions would be helpful thanks.
