motor mounts...urethane vs. solid metal
what are the differences here? would it just be best to get the solid mounts so theres no flex or are the urethane better because you need a little bit of flex?

well there is a pretty good deal on some polyurehane ones through one of my friends. This is probably the way i am gonna go since they should be as good if not better than the vert stockers right?

Solid get more torque to the ground. I'm not sure what the big deal with urethane mounts is? They still produce vibration but don't get as much torque to the ground. If you don't want vibration get rubber mounts. If you go solid get moroso mounts, those thin stamped steel ones a lot of places sell will break real easily.

solid make the car flex with every roation of the engine, it also solidly couple the engine and frame so some bolts tend to come lose more often.
buy polys and be dine with it.

just go with some stock mounts and fabricate a torque link... real easy to do. (drivers side only obviously). Get an 8" turnbuckle and 2 angle brackets from a hardware store. bolt one bracket to the first header bolt, and the other to one of the sway bar bolts on the frame. preload the turnbuckle to make a solid mount when you go racing. works like a charm
