95 CAM?

RE: 95 CAM?
you can, but for all of the work, and the little gain on a stock engine, it is not worth it. If you have aftermarket heads and intake (and don't call a CAI an intake), then it would be worth it

I thinking to get the GT40P's From a 00 Explorer and the intake but i alreday ordered this from summit Racing ..24# inj.,190lph fuel P,Fuel Regulatror,3.73G,mac shoty headers,1.6 rr's and im thinking about to get the Cam but i don't know if i should get 1?

RE: 95 CAM?
Yes you should. All that stuff you ordered wont do much unless you allow it to get more air/fuel in and more exhaust out. Ford racing's B303 is a good cam, has a nice long duration, and a lot more lift than stock so even a cam by itself would net you noticable gains.

Exactly, cams are mechanical. So basically, what a cam does is it opens your valves more for longer. The longer you can keep em open the more air/fuel you can get in the bigger the explosion th emore power you make. Ideally, you would want to get your ECU reflashed or get a chip for it, so it knows that the cam is there and will compensate by sending more fuel hence netting you even more power.
As for the GT40P heads, before you install em take em to a machine shop and have the "stumps" machined out from the exhaust side. Ford heads flow really poorly on the exhaust side, so the more you do to open the exhaust port up the better.

Yeah the 1.7s work fine. I think theyre the best for the b303, because it adds lift, while keeping the duration pretty high. If you plan on adding more go fast parts later, 1.6 rockers are better overall, they make more power in your normal driving RPM range. But the 1.7's make more peak power, usually higher in the rpm range, like 5000 rpm. But if youre going to stay with this setup for while the 1.72's will be just fine.

RE: 95 CAM?
yea just don;t go with to agressive of a cam and u should be fine. for instance with my cam its high lift high duration and low lobe separation and the only real problem i have is the surging at start up but after it warms up it idles fine.
