if your wanting to put a high amp alternator what i did was get one off my 97 v-6 it almost mounted right up but i had to grind the bracket a little on the top instead of the bolt threading into the alt you will need a bolt with a lock nut the big charging wire plugin i cut it and took the little wire that goes to the dummy light and put a female conn on it and it hooked up to a little spot on the new alt and ran a new big 4gauge wire from the eye conn on the back of the alt around to the relay on the fender and the other conn plugged right in and it works great it is 130 amp

the third one is an excellent buy as long as it is good the others not so much you can find the same alt in a wrecking yard off a 94-97 v-6 all the others is doing the same as i was telling you about if you wanna go that way i would recommend replacing the charging wire to the relay they have a tendency to catch fire

I would say none of those would be a good choice. Those chrome painted ones 'rebuilt with the original parts' are a joke. ... I think it was the last one, is straight from the boneyard> never know how many miles are on it...... and last, but least, the 140amp 2G unit. It won't be reliable from overheat at that amp. Heck, the stock ones fry easy at 60 or 70 amps.

I was checking out a 3G earlier on ebay that looks nice. That's actually how I found this site (google search for mustang 3G) It was a kit, not just alternator.

Sounds like a good idea. You'll need a few other things, like wire and fuse, but that's not a biggy.

Here's that ebay ad. This one looks pretty good. Doesn't say anything about warranty though, so I don't know.

Sounds good.
I have a 3G on my 92 and am about to get one for my '86. If I don't get the one from ebay, I'll pick one up at NAPA.
You do know a 94-95 isn't a direct swap, right? You'll need some 2 or 4 gauge wire, a 150-200amp fuse, this one 3G connector and you'll need to do a couple of wire splices. You'll also need to cut out a small part of the bracket to make room for the larger alternator.
