Default Manual Rack Install

I think I am going to purchase a manual steering rack for my '92. Anyone have an experience with installing one?

My PS is ridiculous...its whiney, and is noisy at highway speed. I have drained and put in the correct fluid, but no good. I really wouldn't mind just getting rid of it.

Any thoughts??

I know some guys that went w/ the flaming river manual rack. If it's a daily driver, parking is a B1TCH. Just something to consider...

Shouldn't 18:1 be atleast 50-75 percent as compared to PS?

As long as you have some speed it's not bad, but no matter what the ratio is, it's much harder to crank the wheel when you're not moving or going really slow.
