Are all AODs from mustangs interchangable?

Are all AODs from mustangs interchangable?
Anything special I need to use between years? I have a 93 Mustang GT.
Are the Flexplates the same between 87 and 93?
Are the Torque Converters the same between 87 and 93?
Are the shafts all the same length?
I know the tailshafts are different between different cars (Mark 7, etc) but im only talking between mustang aods.
the reason i ask is cause sometimes i see that auto parts places list different stuff for 92 and 93 and say the trannys are AODE's... but i thought the AODE didnt come in till 94. If i buy this PA Super Streeter AOD then I wanna make sure its going to work in my 93. I dont wanna order a $1300 trans and find out somethings not going to work.

can u put an AOD from a Lincoln LSC in a 5.0 mustang..... i need to know this cause sumeone on here is willing to give me a good deal on an AOD out of a Lincoln LSC...... thats why i keep askin
