Default comp cams powerbox

Does anyone use the comp cams powerbox?I am considering buying one,but would like to hear some opinions before I make my mind up for sure.Thanks in advance.

If you're talking about the polymer upper, you'll need a high revving motor or boost for it to benefit you. It'll cost you all kinds of power otherwise.

i've heard pretty crappy things about it. i'd get a trickflow street or track heat intake.

it great for race only 3500+, it sucks on the street or on anything less than a dedicated strip car.

I just got mine. you lose low end torque but gain 20hp. With 4.10 gears you won't even notice it.

I'll send you pics once it's installed.

I ported my lower to match everything. so the stock lower is fine

i don't take my SN95 on the strip but i do road race it and canyon run it. so high RPMS are a good thing

I ran a Comp upper on a Cobra lower on an otherwise pretty stock 302, and did not like the loss in the low end.
I also had 3.27 gears though.
I think that with 3.73 or higher, it would be less of an issue.

Currently I am using the Comp upper on a Lightning lower on the 408w. The extra displacement of the motor makes up for the loss down low.
The added flow of the box upper is better able to keep up with the demand of the stroker motor when compared to the long runner intakes.
