Default Are External Fuel Pumps Suposed to be loud?

I have a new 9 psi external fuel pump on my ride and its loud. Is it suposed to be that way? Its a Summit brand.

Yes all external fuel pump are loud.

I got the pro comp 150gph fuel pump and its loud as hell at red lights. small price to pay for cheap horse power.
