advance timing / gears / drag radials should do it.

CAI, at least 3.73 gears, suspension (all though that might not be SO cheap) underdrive pullies, cam shaft. You should be close with that.

Gears, short shifter (more of a precaution so you dont miss any of those 13 second shifts), traction and maybe some weight reduction...

Interesting. I know I will not cam my car, for any reason. So what I have gather is that let's say I get. 3.73 gears and a full exhaust system let's say 2.5" Headers and catback, hopefully with cutouts. I can run high 13s? If this is the case (and I can't find a good f-body) you guys got yourself another stang driver.

Ford motors + Nitrous = blown engine

My friend blew his SVT motor with a 75 shot, he only had that car for a few months too.

Seriously if you want to pickup a good bit of time drag radials are the best way, especially if you gear.
