I changed the oil in this car when the other owner had it.

Put 5.5 quarts
was a little high
But Soon as we took 10 minute drive it was good..

I also Called MOROSO performance

They told me 5.5 quarts

they say thats what they put in themselves and same oil and filter I had.

on factory turbo, supercharged, or diesels you prime the filter before installing it. its not to nessacary on a gas engine though, its good practice as it keeps fresh oil in the galleys.

Yea, turbo motors, and supercharged motors, its very important you change the oil regularly and prime it as he said. My mom had a grand national once...forgot the change the oil in it...burned the turbo'd up in it.

Ok...
but really before in my life I never heard of putting oil in the filter.

What I heard is putting oil on the filter gasket

But its not like I started it up and floored it

I put new filter and oil.

Started and let idle for 1 minute
then waited 15 minutes
wiped the dipstick and then check oil and was missing a bit.

thanks

Yea i wouldnt stress it to much....i mean its just an oil change, not brain surgery. Thats really all you need to do, like Mrbigshot said, its just good practice.

You dont need to run it that long. Run it long enough to build up oil pressure, by that point oil has fully circulated through the system. And itll only take about 10 seconds for the oil to run back down into the pan to get an accurate reading.
