Guys,

I'm looking for any diagrams or info i can get on AC systems for the 87-93 fox bodies, I have R12 in mine now and its now working very well and since I'm going to need to cenvert it to 134A I'd like to learn about the system and how it works, etc. Any links or info would be greatly appreciated.

unless you have a 609 permit your not supposed to work on it yourself. Its to complicated to just pick up. Send it to a shop.

Default RE: Diagram/Info

you have to flush out the system get all the old oil out and intall new r134 valves add pag oil and dye then add the right amount of 134 witch is less that the required amout of r12

and if you dont get the all the old oil out and dont get the right amount of new pag oil in or the charge right your going to lose the compressor and plug up some of the other components

so make sure you take it to some one who has the right equipment and has done it before

r134 will be about 5to10 degrees hotter in your vehical

hope this helps

7upedition, I am tagging this for future reference. I believe my a/c system is cousins with yours, mine is getting ready to **** the bed as well.
On the R12 thing, I believe you have to have a machine to recycle and a permit/license from ?? someone before you can buy the extremely overpriced refrigerant.
