So I was able to pick up my 88 just a couple days ago. Judging by how much gas I've used so far, it looks like I'm goign to get about 100 miles to the tank. Even for a 5.0 that seems a bit low. Is there any problems I should be looking for or is this about right for an '88 5.0 ?

i pay 35 for a tank of gas at about 3.09 a gallon. i drive 200 miles on the nuts and refill

that seems REALLLLY low, i get 300km out of 3/4 of a tank with mostly in town driving, maybe look at doing a tune up, fuel filter, plugs,wires,air filter, oil change + filter, trans fluid and diff fluid, see if that helps out, it will end up being cheaper to tune the car up than to keep filling it up every 100 miles.

i get about 220 on a 16 gallon tank. yeah you probably have a huge leak

i went 312 miles on my last fill up....cost 39.00$...most were highway miles though coming back from mustang week at the beach....but that is pretty good i think..

yea dude thats like 6 miles per gallon. I would say thats pretty FREAKIN low. LOL

I get 16 to 18 per gallon with stock gears and I am running her hard! Stock gears though..............

I slowed down to 65-70 mph in the mornings on my way to work, now I see 20-21 mpg average.
