Default High temprature problems

High guys,

a friend of mine got an 89 LX hatch back, manaul trany, and the mod's below,

[ul][*] Hedman L/T[*] Custom made 2.5" X-pipe with 2 chambered Flow's[*] BBK UDP[*] SPEC clutch assy[*] FRPP 3.73's[*] Trik Flow track heat Upper and lower intake, chrome plated[*] BBK 70mm T/B[*] BBK CAI[*] Power master 140amp altarnator[*] MSD ignition sys, Distrubuter cap, wire's and coil[*] Aero motive fuel regulator
[/ul]

plus that he has restored the engine lately may be 5or 6 months ago, so its got new water pump, new hoses and new radiator and thermo, and he have swapped the orginal fan with an electrical ford mustang fan.

the problem here that is the car temprature is always indicating in the midle of the gauge and when he race or hit accelerator it goes more, some times up to 75%, he even tried keeping the car with no thermo and its still the same, so do any one here know whats the problem??????

is it because of the intakes???? does chrome plating effect???
or is he running lean??? as he feel that some times in high rpm's the car just go slow....
or the fan is just not enough to cool down the car???

i tried last night to adjust the regulator, but i even when we reached 65psi still there was no diffrence in the exhst, and when u go to high rpm's the pressure goes down, so i think it might be his fuel pump, may be its weak or about to die???? may be....

ok, is this a factory gauge? it could be as simple as a wiring issue that the gauge is affected by RPM
