Which is better, X or H pipe???

RE: Which is better, X or H pipe???
Personally, I prefer X-pipes, although both equalize pressure...
X-pipe: Better scavenging, slightly larger hp increase, little louder exhaust tone, much more complicated and thusly costs more money to make, takes up more space than the H-pipe
H-pipe: Still scavenges but not as well as the X-pipe, slightly less hp increase than the X-pipe, has a deeper/smoother tone, is very simple to make, takes very little space and can fit in spaces the x-pipe can't, cheaper than the X-pipe
Straight pipes: No scavenging, no equalization of pressure between the two sides, less hp than either H or X-pipe, raspier/louder exhaust tone, cheapest of the true duals

RE: Which is better, X or H pipe???
i've used both, i had 2 87gt w/ on and off road h pipes, and sounded awesome, had a 2002 gt w/ catted x pipe, also awesome, now have a 91lx w/ catted x, the h sounded better on the 5.0. i work at a ford dealership, so ive heard alot of exhausts, my personal opinion is h pipes for 5.0's, x-pipes for 4.6's. on a side note, i had a bbk xpipe and a bassani xpipe on the 02gt, the bbk sounded much better and felt like it make more power down low!
