My 87 5.0 has a hard time turning over when it warms up, what could be the problem. Maybe it jumped timing or something. I don,t know how hot it is running because the temp gauge stoped working. when running the car drives fine. When the motor is cold it starts fine and it has a new starter and flywheel.

 

first things first.......fix the temp gauge problem

 

my car does the same a mechanic told me starter is hot spotting..he told me to check my starter and alt regualtor

 

sounds like starter problem


high torque mini starter would be a good repacement worth the extra cash
