Thanks for help, I'll definitely look into an Oil Additive. Yeah, I guess if the engine does decide to go, then I can look for a 351 W. Thanks for the help Brutal

If I were you, I'd figure out exactly how much oil I was using before getting any ideas of rebuilding the engine. It could be that your PCV valve and screen need to be changed. For comparison, my car burns a quart every thousand miles, but runs like you wouldn't believe, and the plugs are all an identical shade of grey. I have been doing a lot of research on oil additives, and "high mileage" motor oils, in order to try to lesson my oil consumption. I eventually decided that I didn't want to put any oil additives in the engine, and that I would try Valvoline Maxlife instead. I just bought the oil today, so I have no idea if it works. Anyway, just my thoughts on the issue.
Oh, also, a lot of people will tell you that you need an engine rebuild if your car burns as much oil as mine does. Then, some people will tell you that, depending on why it's burning oil, and engine that burns oil will last longer than one that doesn't because the cylinders and rings are getting well lubricated. I find that hard to believe, although I have had two Ford mechanics (at different locations) say the same thing. They also told me that, even though most motors don't use that much oil, 1 quart/1k miles is perfectly normal for these engines. I don't know what to believe, but have decided to just drive my car for as long as possible in order that I may discover the truth for myself.
