SOOOOO My trans needs to be rebuilt. How much would it be for a rebuild if I supply the kit? What is the best way to go? (New trans, used trans, rebuild, etc etc).

If you did it yourself, a rebuild kit will cost you about $250(that is bearings, retainers, springs, syncos and seals) then what other parts you will need...2nd gear is bad, so that would mean a gear cluster...don't know a price for sure, but I bet it is under 200 bucks. So for less than $500 you could have a new, rebuilt tranny and a good feeling in knowing you did it yourself. I did mine myself, just common sense stuff and a little know how and a good memory you can do it. I just figure someone else can do it, why cant I?
