Default have a problem with ispec. off road pipe?

I bought my flow masters cat back around 1994. I had a problem if I took the cats off and put on off road pipe it would not pass inspection. So I bought what the call a pro chamber and it looks like this

http://www.dallasmustang.com/prod/9313

when I get my car inspected the garage asks me what that is and I telll them it is a pro-chamber and the box in the middle takes place of all 4 cats.....and they have all said ok. For some reason I cant find it for the 87-93 fox bodies but above is the pic that looks like the one on my car. It sure beats replacing the h-pipes on and off each year and never had a problem here in New Hampshire getting it inspected with this pipe on

so whats the problem?

NH isnt as strict as MA. isnt it just a visual check?

i had my car registered in NH a couple years ago and the guy just put a mirror under the car, checked for mufflers and slapped a sticker on the windshield

If it is the one in the pic, that is not a cat. Its just a chamber to equalize pressure in both the pipes, etc. In order fo ryou to pass emissions youll need to put your cat pipe back on.

I know it does not have cats. But when i had my off road pipe on i could not find a single garage to inspect my car. Now that i have had this on noone questions it at all. Passes like a charm. Some garages ask me what the hell it is. the point to this post was that if your having trouble getting your car inspected due to having off road pipes9 and dont want to switch h-pipes each year) you might want to try this...it has worked for me since 94.

And there's where he is okay. NH, much like Maine where I live, does not have an emissions test. It's simply a visual inspection. Talk about stupid and a waste of time. Half the people I know simply hollow out their cats or put fake ones on there.

High Flow cats are always a possibility. I don't know how people fall for that with the prochambers, LoL. Sad.

prochamber wont work in emission testing states

it dosnt filter out carbons

ultimately how your car tests will depend on its condition. ive seen 5.0's pass with O/R h-pipes and some, like mine, need 4 cats heh
