Well if it spins your wheels faster due to the reduction in weight then its good. He also said he heard it free's up HP not a for sure thing. It probably is worth getting for the weight though.

i can believe it will free up hp's.. i mean **** fox's have like 225hp stock.. but if you dynoed it would come out to be like maybe 195hp and with an aluminum driveshaft im sure you'd maybe dyno at like 200-205hp... so u arent gaining hp's..just freeing them up

I beleive it would free up rotation mass and maybe some HP. Its lighter and should spin easy. But if your car is a 3500 pound beast you might not feel anything. With some Pullies and a New driveshaft gains should be real nice on a 3100 pound mustang i bet 15 Hp freed up.But what do i know i mean i dont have a new driveshaft yet.

Hey my GT weighs 3100 pounds, sound like a good idea. Also at higher speeds I can feel a slight vibration and have my wheels balanced. I plan on getting gears sooner or later and when something such as a driveshaft spins fast, the more chance of a vibration. Aluminum is a softer metal and will absorb the vibrations.

They don't look too hard to install, is it just a couple bolts?

Four to be exact. All in one location. The front part of the driveshaft is just the slip yoke. Get ready fro a bit of tranny fluid to come out.

if you ever get some slicks for your runs at the track they require you to have a driveshaft safety loop, so you might as well get one and install it first before you get the slicks on.
