Default puttin h-pipe

i jst want to know if it is worthied putting a high flow wid cats h-pipe on a 1995 mustang gt?? i use to have offroad hpipe but its illegal and too loud.

Too loud? I didn't think it was that bad. I have an offroad H-Pipe w/ flowmaster 40s on my 95 GT and I think it sounds great. I recently checked it and it's under 95Db, which means that it's legal here... well, legal as far as the noise

High flow cats will help you a little. Did you think about an X-pipe with high flow cats instead? You can find the whole setup for around $250 on ebay. X-pipes aren't quite as loud and they actually give you a few more HP. Not much, but every little bit helps.

Yea its worth it and if you have to go with cats i'd get an x pipe as mentioned before because it flows a lil better. That sux you need cats.

I think he's trying to quiet it down though. And he probably needs cats for emissions or at least visual inspection.

I agree with you though. I LOVE the sound of offroad h-pipes.

what if a cat shell is welded where the cat should go? wait.... dont they also check the exhaust?

he's from CA and yes they test the emissions with a monitor... its not just a visual check
