Default COMBO QUESTION!? SHOULD I CHANGE!!

here goes my combo...

*AFR 185 HEADS PORTED 1.6 rr's
*TRICKFLOW STAGE 3 CAM
*powerdyne supercharger
*70mm accufab t/b
*cold air elbow
*custom piping for mass air piping and blower
*306 motor 9:1comp (flycut pistons)
*mac long tubes 1 5/8
*mac h-pipe
*flo-pro mufflers dumped
*30lb injectors
*75mm mass air
*msd 6al
*msd coil
*fms wires
*3.55 gears
*t5
* fp is set around 46
*timing is set around 10*

i have been wondering if this intake is too big for my combo..?
would a stage 2 ported cobra intake help me out, down low!?
how would it do up in high rpm.... and feedback would be appreciated...
im going turbo pretty soon, just want to get the most out of this lil combo for now... thnx !

all on a LIL 92 COUPE!

THNX!!

good, i was going to say yank the powerdyne but your going turbo! the intake you have is good since your blown, if you were NA it would be way overkill. you might want to consider going with a lower gear, and once you go turbo, get bigger injectors and run without an fmu. and get a blower cam, im pretty sure yours is set for NA performance.

so you dont think that intake is too much,

i had 3.73's on the coupe a while back, along with welds and 28x10.5x15m/t's ran good, but swapped to 3.55's for when i got the turbo kit....

i was thinking stepping back down with the tfs 2 cam....

my old combo

victor 5.0 intake
afr 185's
tfs stage 2 cam
9lbs of boost w/3.73's
no msd 6al
dynoed over 450rwhp ran a best of 7.1@99.89 mph 1/8 cutting 1.53s' 60ft

with basically stock suspension, just lower control arms...

now its running best 7.7's on Nitto dr's w/3.55's best 1.77 60ft
hope to get this set. im thinking og slapping a stage 2 ported cobra intake, to see what it does...

i see alot on magazines that alot of people with superchargers run gt40 or cobra intakes??

a ported cobra intake wont flow as much as your vic jr...just keep it on! and def go lower gears, look what it did to your time! is the tfs2 cam a blower cam?

first what psi are you running I'll guess 5-8 psi..the intake is a lil much as well as the cam so easiest way is to put 2 degree move advance in the set up of the cam this will help greatly in the lower rpm...also how creative is the intAke piping? to the S/C? has the set up been tuned yet? also dump those terrible FMS plug wires for something with lower resist wires you can get a set for 75-85 buck that are like 25 ohms per foot unlike what ya got that are 3-500 ohm per foot this will enhance better combustion..
ok if you don't want to go that route do a cam change I Use the crane 542-565 lift with great succes of S/C cars I do many see the 10 sec range. what you have is too much overlap for that S/C in that cam

naw that gear will only help to cover up the problem as it will set up traction issues and a small chance to over rev the S/C depending on psi

im going to have to disagree with you vfast on the inake. the more flow, the better. on NA, obviously it wouldnt work. but if he put a lesser flowing intake on it, his psi would go up, and hp would go down.

2 things I see in the pic I would change....my opion is the get that hose off the S/C as it's transfering heat to it..a no-no..2nd get rid of the chrome pipe as it holds heat as well as get rid of that long rubber tube....i'm not a big fan of those tf cams r thier heads..nice valve cover they make... ....go to crane's website and take a look at that cam I suggested and if you need more lift then go to a 1.7 rocker....I do like the intake set-up as I bet is set you back some $$$$ it works well in 10 psi+ cars..going to a 10-11 psi pulley will really wake up that car and get better use of the heads and intake...
