I'm looking at buying an electric exhaust cutout set for my 93 5.0 - I found a pair in Summit's made by Dougs Headers for $570 and another set for a hundred bucks less sold by mooneyes - wanted to see if anyone else has installed the electric cutout on this car - I have a new Flowmaster cat back exhaust - wondering about clearance issues etc. - no need to tell me about the illegal part, already took that into consideration. Thanks!

Electric cutouts would be sweet, I want to do them when I do exhaust and wire them to dump at WOT and close back up after a set time. Sure beats driving with a loud car all the time or crawlin under to un cap cutouts. I am just worried how long the motors will last in the under car environment.

i bet you if there installed snug they will last a long long time, of course you have to solder all your electrical connections and heat shrink over them, most people with these kits wont drive in the snow/rain with there cars,those kits are really nice and great for regulars at the track but wanna drive on the street too. Good Luck with it man.
