Default dilemma

I have a 95' GT. As of now its stock. My dad has a 90' LX in perfect condition. It's turbo charged, and has a bunch of other mods. The car is FAST, best time was 11.6. My dad says that if I keep my car stock, when he is ready to buy a new car in a few years, he'll take mine and sell it, and give me his car. I would like to mod my own car...just a better feeling knowing you did it your self...but as I said, his car is fast, and my car is definatly going to need a new clutch soon, so if I keep it for good, it needs more work than just mods. Any opinions on what you would do in my situation?

its deffinately more rewarding to do the pmods your self and experience the slow evollution of your car as opposed to just getting a ten secomd monster

alright...thats what i was feeling...The main issue is money, but i guess thats what summer jobs are for. Any cheap neccesary mods to go for first? H-pipe i can get for cheap from a guy i know, but what after that? Straight to gears?

Do some little mods here and there. Waiting a few years could be a pain so do little at a time. If your dad wants to give you the car he will. Whats the dealwith making you wait? If you get a new clutch get a performance one and go with gears, suspension springs and shocks, CAI, Exhaust and such and you will have a car thats also fast for some little mods for little money.
