How to launch??
Just currious as to really launch the 5.0 fox body really good????.. i had a hard time at the track tonight.. didnt really better my time tonight.. just was a one last time before i get my clutch put in thing.. the best i could get was a 2.414 60 ft time.. no mater how i launched it.. it would just spin.. i tried from 3000rpm to 2000 rpm... anything under 2 it would bog bad.,. anything above the tires would spin.. car is mostly stock.. just flow cat back, k&n CAI, bumped timming to 13 degrees... so i wouldnt think traction would be that big of a problem... but it really was.. any advice onthis would be greatly apreciated.
roll the clucth in 2nd gear in a stick at about 1800-2200 rpm, once you pass the 120 foot mark you should be all in. in an auto foot brake in first to 1100-1300 rpm and ease into it just after the 4th bulb darkens. get better tires as they will help you a great deal.

With BFG's Drag Radials......I leave @ 6000 RPM and pull down 1.65, 60 foot times.....oh I also have $4,000 in drag suspension too.....

put some 4cylinder springs on the rear
My whole suspension is set up.......fully adjustable 4-link, 8.8 rearend....with a Detriot Truetrack Locker, 3.73, Moser 31 spline axles....Lakewood drag shocks, Lakewood Drag Bags, 5 disc convert...with 5/8 studs......drive shaft loop..........yada yada...on a fully World Class T-5 tranny......more than 150......6000 RPM launchs...and nothing in the drive train has broken yet.......
I was dumping my BFG's at 3500 on the street. Twisted the crap out of my Control arms though. Thats why I had to invest into a decent rear suspension.
