Default Head question

Ok i just had my 95 cobra dyno'd today 262 rwhp and 292 torque, my question is if I get some afr 165cc heads. what kind of gains could i expect. And if I do end up going with the heads what other things do i have to buy to make them work and bolt right up ? I already have full exhaust, 3.73's, bbk cai, crane ignition, and a z-cam

it would definately put you in the 300rwhp range....your 24's will be fine...just make sure you check piston to valve clearance...which should be ok....

mods?...just make sure you atleast gasket match the intake to heads.

not sure youll make 300rwhp without an intake manifold but you will be close.

if you can find some one with afr's in stock (good luck with that) buy from them. afr is on 1 month back order so it will take over a month to get the heads after your order them.

Look at the AFR 165 competition heads.

They got good reviews in MMFF a couple months ago. Do the intake as well. I ahve TF Street upper/lower and am with very happy with it.

BTW-Do MAF and TB as well.

You'll be fine with teh 24 lb inj. until you go to the SC. After that you'll need an FP, and bigger inj.

if you even plan on doing alot to the engine, just go with the 185's, that way you've got plenty of room to grow into the engine if you ever want to.

Nothing is more frustrating than having a parts you just spend tons of $$$ on being to small and holding your power output back.

he'll need a new block or fly cut pistons....he has hypo pistons now right?

to BOUCHERMB.....what compression is your motor???....just asking cause i'm looking at a KB for my set-up,and i think i'm screwed....
1)compression is 9.7...so we'll say 10.1....and i'm not sure my rpm intake will match up?
