RE: what the f*ck is knocking
If its a nice rythmic knock, it probably a rod bearing. Next oil change check ur oil filter, cut it open and look around for flakes of bluish/coppery metal. That would be bearing material. Try disconnecting spark plug wires one at a time to see if the knock goes away, then you'll know what rod its on.
Good luck.

RE: what the f*ck is knocking
If you are worried about a rod knocking there is a little trick you can use. Learned it from a old *** mechanic I know. Take a wooden rod (something around the size of a hammer handel) and place and hold it against the block below the heads, around where the rods would be located, the sound will travel up along the wood and if you place your ear to the it you will hear quite clearly if a rod is knocking. I know it sounds weird with all the high speed sh*t out there but it works.

RE: what the f*ck is knocking
my motor only has 98,000 on it and i really dont put my foot into it unless i have 2 this guy at ford said it could be a wrist pin but it seems like it would of blown up by now if some thing bad was really knocking i got a new motor 4 it but id rather not put it in so soon so im wondering if something stupid is causing this

RE: what the f*ck is knocking
yes a wrist pin knock is also a possibility. But its much more un-common compared to a rod knock. Thats what my money is on. If you got a new motor just throw it in, anytime a motor knocks its a bad thing. I'd just go ahead and swap them out before you blew the one in the car, you can still rebuild the engine and nothing major has broken in it. Its still a good core and i would go ahead and swap before it breaks.
