93 LX FiveO, Probably an entire book on it but, How do you improve on a 60' time in a stock car? Or, Are you talking about improving driving skills to lower the time?
Yeah, the correction factor brings the ET down to a 16 flat, still man, that is some slow *** $hit. It was funny too cause I wrote down 15.00 on my tech card thinking that was gonna be "slow" for the car. The tech guy instead wrote down 13.5. WOW, were we both wrong!!

i had a 2.414 60' time last time i went to the track i still ran a 15.2@92mph in the quarter.... so.. unless you did the tuneup yourself.. change some wires and plugs.... if you did the tune up.. then i dont know man.. something seems a lil off to me.. i know the verts are a lil heavier.. and the aod's arent that good stock.... but a 16.2-.3.. seems pretty slow.. i mean.. you.. have a chance of loseing to a quick civic now... i would check the car over a lil..check fuel pressure... clean your injectors.. clean your maf... try something man.
60' and R/T's.

I would make sure that everything is running correctly.
Remove your air silencer.
Replace air filter with K&N
Bump Timing to around 13*
You should feel somewhat of a gain and it will only cost about $40 bucks all together.

Id even check the cats. After driving your car for a while look under it to see if the cats are glowing. If they are then you have 1 or 2 problems. 1 problem might be that the cats are just plugged up and restricting your exhaust to the point where youre losing performance. Or 2 one of your cylinders isnt firing all of the time and gas is pooling in the cat.
Just out of curiosity, what brand parts were used for the tuneup? Ive run into problems using "cheap" tuneup parts. The worst of which the car developed a bad misfire, to the point where it would only run on 3 cylinders (1.9L 4cyl). The tuneup on that car was no more than 4 months old. I replaced all the cheap parts with factory motorcraft parts never had another problem.

You guys are not going to believe this but I will tell you anway. I ordered a C/A/I and it came in today. I still had not found the source of my slowness, that is until today. I started taking the intake piping apart and removed the air filter completely from the housing. When I pulled the air silencer out of the fenderwell I found a friggin plastic Rainbow bread sack stuck in there!!!! Can you believe that? I am curious how the car was running at all. So between removing the plastic sack and installing the CAI, the car now feels like a complete beast.
Anyway, just thought I would share.
