Default Correct Pushrod Length

When I install my AFR 165 heads I want to be sure I use the correct length pushrod, does anyone know which tool I need to use to measure this and where I should go about buying it? Also any help with the actual procedure would be awesome. Thanks in advance!

Check this procedure on the valve train geometry, you could also "build" your own adjustable pushrod....

Take an old pushrod and cut it about 1 to 1.5 inches from either end. Now use a 1/4"-20 tap and tap both open ends, then simply screw in a short piece of 1/4 inch threaded rod with a few jam nuts and voila, you just saved 20+ dollars and 3-4 days on shipping time.

Yep, get or make an adjustable pushrod. Set it up so you roller tip sweeps a pattern that's centered on the valve tip. No big deal. Make sure you measure the length the way the manufacturer of where you plan to buy your rods from does.

I think you can find an all explaining article on the Comp Cams website.

I think I paid like $12 for my adjustable pushrod from Summit.
