Default TPS Adjustment?

Ok, I am sure this has been answered however I cannot find out how to adjust the TPS. I have loosened the screws however the TPS doesnt seem to move up and down like its supposed to. I currently have a voltage of 1.4 and the only way I achieve .98 if with 1 screw completely out. Could this mean a bad TPS? Or is there something else I have to do? I have also bored out the screw holes for a little more play however I am still way off. Thanks.

If you have elongated the holes and still cannot get it to .8 then you need a new TP sensor.

Most likely you have your idle adjusted way high. Disconnect the ISC and set the idle by turning the idle set screw as low as you can (while keeping the motor running at idle - even if it is a rough idle).

Hook the ISC back up and then check the TPS.

You should be able to get the TPS between .65V and 1.1V. (IIRC)

According to the Ford documentation this is the only requirement.

The ideal of .99v seems to be a myth that evolved from an old tps that is not produced anymore.

Ok, I have back out the idle screw as much as possible and I cannot drop the voltage. The screw is not even touching any more and its still reading 1.5 with a new tps. Could this be a throttle body issue?
