how much horse power does a 5.0HO have stock? i did a search but found nothing.

from 87 to 92 the mustangs supposedly had 225 horses, however in 93 ford downrated from 225 to 205, which was the result of ford reevaluating the way its horsepwer numbers were calculated, but also that yar they switched the pistons so maybe that is what did it

hyperuwreckedit pistons are just as good (and lighter, so more hp if anything) under the same stock conditions as forged, they are just weaker(lighter, again) and cant stand detonation or a bad tune with nitrous or boost.....

they give no more hp..they were installed for better piston clearance and a lighter rotating mass

what year 5.0? i have a 95' and it has 215 (at the flywheel). i haven't had it dynoed or anything but i'm guessing about 170ish at the rear wheels

Yea from what i've read/heard, Ford had been doing changes all thru-out those years and finally settlin the HP down in 93 @ 205
or whatever it was.
And also a new way to calculate the HP
dunno ill try and find the link where it says all the changes n junk
