Default E or B cam

Which one would you use in a stock set up and will it make that much difference?

They both good cams for mildly modded motors with stock heads. People claim the E Cam works SUPER with any kind of forced induction. I ran a B cam with a 150 shot for a while and it seemed to run really strong.

The only real difference between the two is the idle quality. The B will "Lope" slightly than the E

So does the E have a smoother idle than B?

E's give you more torque lower in the RPM band, B's give you more HP in the higher RPM band. If your car is your daily driver, you're better off w/the E, since you'll use and feel the low-end torque more than you will the high-end hp, unless you redline every shift, then you might want the high-end HP. Cars used primarily for racing are more suited w/the B cam.

E's are better suited for automatics, since they yield more torque.

It sounds like the "E" is better suited for me. I don't race my car and it would improve my low grunt. I have a 5-speed. High end power doesn't do me alot of good on the street.
