there is a major rattling noise when i put the car under a heavier acceleration... it comes from the front drivers side it think.... recently i opened it up all the way and it rattled really bad... then after that the rattle is less noticeable at lower speeds... anyone have any suggetions on finding the rattle or anyone with similar experience?

need to be more specific. Open the hood and play with the throttle and see if it still does it. It might not only because it could possibly only happen when there is a load on the motor(in gear) other wise see if its internal or maybe as little as a pully.

it has a new auto tranny in it. the vehicle only does the rattle noise under load.... it seems to come from the drivers side but hard to tell for sure cause i can only get it to produvce it with the car moving... also my car is now overheating... i replaced the tstat less than a month ago... is is possible the rattle and the overheat could be connected?

Sound like spark knock to me. Whats your timing set to? If you got it advanced, set it back to stock and see if it goes away.

i tried to see if my coolant was moving through the radiator so i took off the cap and started her up, the coolant level rose and almost overflowed... is that normal?
