Default just got 86 gt need to know where to start
i just got my 86 gt its got a new engine with only about 15 000kms on the engine but it has a bit of lifter noise where is a good place to start besides the lifters all ideas are welcome

Are you talking about modding it? If so, check out the tech articles and than there is a thread in there called first mods.

i bought a comp cam i dont know if its a over kill for a stock 5.0 the grind is fw xe274hr-12 the lift is about 2x as big as the stock lift

sell it, that cam will not work with speed density, please talk to me before modding your 86. look at my gallery for what I have done to mine...

he's an internet mechanic he never said if the piston where changed or if a conversion has been done

Well, he said its a NEW engine so Im guessing they are new... unless he just had it freshened up.
