Default Anyone know how...

...to remove the front factory struts on a '93 without the special slotted socket? If impossible, does anyone know where I can find that @#$%ing socket? The only place I found online that had it was out of stock until September!

BTW, the shocks are the ones with the screwdriver-looking slot on top (hence the need for the tool).

Thanks, 7upedition and 88BlueGT, that was pretty helpful...

5.0, I tried it with a pry bar and the pry bar tip snapped. I think a screwdriver would just bend.

yea those things are tough. find something that is sturdy enough to fit in that slot and loosen that sucka! Ive done it many times with only a couple broken screw drivers.

Good luck!

NP, it's just frustrating that the damn socket it's only $12, but the only place I've found it in won't have it until September.
