Anyone know how...
...to remove the front factory struts on a '93 without the special slotted socket? If impossible, does anyone know where I can find that @#$%ing socket? The only place I found online that had it was out of stock until September!
BTW, the shocks are the ones with the screwdriver-looking slot on top (hence the need for the tool).

^^^^^^^ Sounds like a good plan. Come back next year and let us know how it worked out!

use a sturdy screw driver side ways and a open ended wrench on the nut. Use plenty of pentrating oil before and do not strip the ****, I mean slot!

Thanks, 7upedition and 88BlueGT, that was pretty helpful...
5.0, I tried it with a pry bar and the pry bar tip snapped. I think a screwdriver would just bend.
