Default Do I need to change my setup?

Looking for some opinions here. I'm looking at changing my cam/heads over the winter. My car, being an 88' is speed density, will I need to change this to mass air? If I don't, what will happen? I've heard alot of mixed things here, if I'm required to make the change how much does this conversion usually cost? Thanks in advance!

I would prob change it and I think most will agree here. If you want to change it there is a sticky in the tech section.

I you're going with mods, I'd switch to Mass Air. I have an 86 and did it. You can get what amounts to a Ford Racing kit, from a company I think called Automotive Technologies for $300 or so. I found them on e-bay and while the installation requires a little more splicing, I found it to be well worth the savings.

It has the Ford computer, sensor, etc.
