Personally, I would get rid of the SSI intake for now until you have a supercharger. That intake is designed just for that type of application at least that is what I was told by some at BBK. I would get a real GT40 and I would gasket match the upper and lower and get a new cam and some different headers. What is with these cat back stuff? Why not just get a h-pipe with NO cats and some flow masters? If it is because of inspections just take the hpipe off and put the cats back on , then as soon as you get home take them off again? That is what all of us did.

It has to be the head and intake combination. My car puts out 245 ponies and it has simple bolt ons.

are you sure your tires wearent spinning on the rollers?

If you do have a AODE thats going to eat up more hp. The best thing you can do for that is to get rid of it, or just switch the fluid to synthetic fluid at the very least.
AOD, the E came out in 1994

after 8 mustangs 5.0 and even a svo first thing i did was flowmasters even have one on my d/d 04 grand cherokee..the muffler shop knows everytime a get a new car..=).... my stock 90 gt with 2 1/4 flows and gutted cats with 3:55 on reg tires ran 13:50-13:70's at just over a 100mph...it's hard for the stock heads/motor to push thru those mufflers and plus think of the weight savings of getting rid of those anchors

It has off road BBK H-pipe now, needs Flowmaster set-up, it's a 5 speed

Meant to buy a Cobra intake, tried to buy a Cobra intake, paid for a Cobra intake
got home.......... they gave me a BBK - SSI, guess I could've taken it back

OK
Just came back from hard test drive...........

Sounds freak'n SWEET even with stock mufflers

Really sluggish below 3,000 rpm, above that and it's INSANE!!!

think cam will fix some of that?

i got flowmaster 40's dumped and i would never go with a cat back again. I love the deep powerfull tone of the dumps. It makes your car that much louder because it echoes off the ground and sounds mean as hell. Plus its free flowing as hell.

The intake is to blame for the lack of low end. The cam will not help bottem end, if anything it may hurt it more. Also in theory the stock mufflers are giving you more bottom end also. the cam and flows will give you more top end hp

im saying that catback is holding you back the most. your engine is taking deep powerful breathes and choking to breathe out[sm=icon_quiet.gif], like the old saying trying to blow out a straw. I bet that alone nets you 20 rwhp.
