Default Headlight Switch

Ok my pos has a malfunction in swich wiring or smoewhere. Its a 86 Gt with the old pull switch. I can pull it the headlights come on but dash parking and tail lights do not. I can push it in just a little and make them work. I have replaced the switch with no improvments. no blown fuses on from what I can see the wires look good. Anyone got some ideas for possible cause?

Hmm, since both the dash lights and tail lights don't work it's hard to say. If it were just the dash lights then I'd say dim your dash lights to see if they come on since it's a common failure.....

It could just be the plug itself that plugs into the switch. The prongs inside of it may be loose or bent a little bit and btw nice 4 eyes guys!

Well considering I can push the switch in some and make all the lights work I wouldnt think it would be a plug concern. I am thinking its the dimmer switch. Why I think this is because untill all this started the high beams light in the dash didnt work. Then all this started and now it works maybe just some fluke but I am at a loss.

take your plug off and spray some pb blaster into the plug. Or you could have the luck of me and have bought a already malfunctioning switch..

Ok in a total of 3 different switches I have no change in operation. Surely to god I didnt get 3 bad switch in a row. Now I am just scratching my head trying to figure it out.
