Default intake/heads question

ok alot of people say trickflow, but honestly what about edelbrock. i believe the edelbrock intake flows better then the trickflow street heat, but which heads actually give you more hp?

im not really a fan of the edelbrock heads, they dont flow as well as there competetors for the money. you could say the same about the trickflows. i would say trickflows if you didnt want to get afr's. its pretty easy to outgrow all of them though.

As you can see the 1.9's and RPM's dont really flow any better than GT-40X's but cost a ton more.

Everyone likes the TrickFlow TW's because you can use them with stock pistons
and still get the big 2" intake valves, gotta notch pistons with all others.

and AFR is just the best.

May sound like a dumb question, but what number/numbers on the flow charts do you look at when comparing heads? What do those percentages mean when it comes to engine performance?

The RPM I and RPM II are great intakes. RPM I for a warmed up street engine and RPM II for a street/strip motor.

No, but for the $ you spend on the X heads, you can have TW's. A little port work on the TW's and they'll outflow anything near it in price range.....
