has anyone taken their dash apart? do u need to lower the steering column to get the dash out? Cus my problem is that my dash lights wont work, even with a new fuse in, they still dont work, so im thinking it could be the dimmer switch or something behind the dash... If anyone has any idea what could be wrong, all help is appreciated...

RE: Dash
You dont have to lawer it but you will have to tilt it up and forward to wrestle it out. I removed ours by myself but I had my dad help me get it back it. Just remove it out the passenger side. TO check the lisghts you only have to remove the column shroud (2 screws) then the lower colum trim (3 8mm bolts) then teh metal peice under it (2 8mm bolts) then remove the 3 torx bits screws holding the instrument bezel in (you can use either a t-20 or a 7mm socket). You'll have to disconnect the lights to get the bexel out of the way. Then you'll have access to the instrument cluster and the dimmer switch.

RE: Dash
thanks a lot... yea i figured i would have to lower the steering column to get behind the instrument panel. yea i tried rolling the switch and they just wont come on. my interior light still comes on when i roll the switch all the way to the right, but i did notice it doesnt come on every time i have to roll it a little to make it come on so im thinking that it could be that switch.
