I recently switched from Sorties to L/T and I love them. Our motor is mildly built. I went with teh BBK Ceramic 1 5/8" primaries. I dont really notice any torque lost at low end but I notice more power up top. AS far as sound they are quiter at idle but are loud as hell when the car is opened up. The rest of our system is off-road H, and Flowmaster 40s (I belive).

Well the motor i'm gonna be putting in is borderline.... it makes 345 HP out of the box, and i'm putting a (i think) 75mm track heat trick flow intake manifod on it. What would you all reccomend? i intend on putting in some power adders, so it will probably be above and beyond 350 HP, but i dont know which to go with.

and powers i live in the baltimore area... i NEED to find a track around here... the only thing i know of is a drag strip which really dosent excite me much...

^^ See this is what i was talking about, most of your gains will be on the top end. Every car ive ever heard of gained about 5-6hp and about 10ft lbs on the top end with Long tubes, because the tubes are longer and straighter, increasing exhaust velocity and gaining torque. Although i dont think the switch is neccessary And on a stock headed 5.0 the damn exhaust ports are so small headers other than some shorties are pretty much a waste of time most of the time. But anything is better than the factory manifolds.

If you are going to be making 350 horsepower long tubes will be fine. Just dont by MAC's and you should be OK!

^+1 on the anti MAC comment, MAC sucks, JMO but long tubes only at 350+ hp, BBK are excellent quality, fit, and finish
