Default Y-303, E-303, Performer RPM?

Has anyone here run the Ford Racing Y-303 heads with the E-303 cam and Edelbrock Performer RPM intake on an carborated 5.0? The Ford tech says that this combo would work best as apposed to the Performer Plus manifold I was thinking of running. I'm sure it will but Edelbrock advertises the Performer Plus as a EGR emission legal manifold but the RPM as non-EGR. Should I sacrifice a little top end horse power with the Performer Plus, or do I risk an emission fail with the RPM. Let me have your opinons guys.

well first I think that combo is wrong for a carb car.......going with a set of afr 165 a small crane cam 505-512 lift and a rpm intake will yeild go results with a small demon carb

That would be fine but there's two things wrong with that. First, anything over .500 lift and I run into valve clearance problems. Two, the Demon carbs are not emission legal.

.500 lift is nothing really...its the duration and lobe separation that will kill you....
