Default performance YEAR

Hey i;m looking to get a dif. mustang. what year between 87 and 93 had the BEST engine stock? i dont think i'm gonna keep the engine bein i have the one in my sig right now but im just curious incase i keep that engine in that car. thanks

the forged pistons will not be an issue unless you plan on running HUGE boost or a large shot of nitrous. You can easily max out the block before you mess up a piston... a stock hyper piston can handle approx. 12 psi...

87 5.0 made most power because it had speed density. but remember, this is in STOCK FORM... you may want to stay away from speed density.

You can build a speed density motor but it just gets complicated once you start doing extensive mods like heads & cam, etc.
